Disney Announces Plans to Expand Coverage of D23 Live Broadcasting

Disney has announced that the upcoming D23 Expo live stream will feature more announcements, billboards and content for fans to enjoy.

Disney has announced that the live broadcast of the D23 Expo in 2022 will feature more panels and presentations than in previous years.

In a recent announcement, Disney noted that due to the large number of fans who will not be able to attend the D23 event in person in Anaheim, California due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 2022 live broadcast will feature “more panels and presentations than any other time ago “. The full schedule will be announced in the days leading up to the event, which will take place between September 9-11.

Besides this announcement, D23 has added two more stages, The Premiere Stage and Backlot Stage, which will join Hall D23. For tickets, prices range from $89 for one-day tickets and $229 for three-day tickets for Gold members, while general admission tickets will cost $99 and $270 for single and three-day tickets, respectively. For D23 Gold Hall members, three-day favorite seating tickets are available in limited quantities for $899. This year, guests must be D23 members to purchase tickets for the event, which will go on sale on January 20.

Along with a slew of other exhibits and presentations, D23 will feature a new exhibit called “Mickey Mouse One: Walt’s Plane,” which will see the restoration of Walt Disney’s airplane and its display at the Anaheim Convention Center. There will also be a special presentation from the Walt Disney Archives, as well as the return of the Mousequerade costume contest. These join previously announced experiences such as the 50th anniversary celebration of Bedknobs and broom, a window customization event for Walt Disney Archives founder Dave Smith and anniversaries of Lilo and StitchAnd HerculesAnd Aladdin And A Christmas Carol The Muppets.

D23 Expo 2022 will celebrate 100 years of The Walt Disney Company. Announced in September 2020, the bi-annual fair will host panels, presentations and interactive items for audiences to celebrate all the magic and adventure that Disney has to offer. This covers film, television, theme parks and more. It was also previously revealed that, along with the already announced line-up, D23 will also reveal new content from Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel projects.

This year, D23 will be held in person and via livestream. The last full in-person event took place from August 23-25, 2019 and provided an expanded look at content from Disney/Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox, including Raya and the last dragon And Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While the next event was originally scheduled for 2021, it has been postponed due to restrictions caused by the pandemic.

D23 Expo 2022 tickets will go on sale on January 20th.
