In April, Marvel’s Thor #24 doubled to the 750th issue of the title, welcoming the return of some of Odinson’s greatest creators to celebrate 60 years.
Marvel is bringing back some of Thor’s most influential creators for his birthday.
In April this year, Marvel . will publish bull #24, which doubles as a celebration of 750 issues of the series in total. Conveniently timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Thor’s founding, the blockbuster comic will feature some significant names from God of Thunder’s past. In addition to the main story presented by the current bull A creative team from writer Donny Keats and artist Nick Klein, the issue will feature new tales from fan-favourite creators J. Michael Straczynski, Olivier Coebel, Dan Jurgens, Walter Simonson, Al Ewing, Lee Garbet, Tom DeFalco, Ron Frenz, Jason Aaron and Das Pastoras.
The main storyline for Cates and Klein takes place on the heels of the current story story, “God of Hammers,” which reimagines Thor’s relationship with Mjolnir. After Thor learns of the death predicted by the king of Asgard, he questions its connection to his signature weapon. in a bull #20 Mjolnir has apparently gained a sense of humor, further confusing the god of thunder. In addition to the “God of Hammers” fallout, Thor’s memory has brought writer J. Michael Straczynski back to the title for the first time in over a decade. Together with artist Olivier Coebel, JMS resurrected Thor after the character’s death in “Ragnarok”. The JMS and Coipel trajectory changed Thor’s speech pattern, established his relationship with Brookston, Oklahoma and reimagined his relationship with the nine (now ten) worlds of Yggdrasil, setting the standard for many of the hero’s subsequent adventures. Marvel revealed that the JMS and Coipel short film takes place during the events of their redefinition bull long story.
Although Thor is the focal point of the Anniversary Edition, some of the affair stories will highlight God of Thunder’s closest allies. Writer/artist Dan Jurgens’ story will see Thor collaborate with Balder the Brave while writer/artist Walter Simonson revisits Beta Ray Bill, a character he created while running the series in the 1980s. Furthermore, writer Jason Aaron and artist Das Pastoras will present a story centered around Thor’s father, Odin. Aaron recently revealed that Phoenix is the true mother of Thor, and Marvel promised that the legendary writer will fill this new short book with more “revealing” plot points.
finally, bull #24 It will feature two of the champion’s greatest competitors. Writer Tom DeFalco and artist Ron Frenz will focus their story on the ancient villain Enchantress, whose magical manipulations often complicate Thor’s life. Likewise, writer Al Ewing meets with him Loki: Agent of Asgard Artist Lee Garbet for a story about the god of mischief.
