star Wars She revealed the origins of one of the new main villains: Marchionne Rowe, a leader (or “eye”) star Wars The monstrous space pirate group The Nihil, who were the main villains of the new Star Wars: The Supreme Republic Line. Marchionne Roe’s chess-like intrigues were a major focal point of the High Republic. The novels and comedies depicting Marchionne, the piracy leader, have given an extraordinary amount of unwavering depth to the star Wars villain. However, the High Republic was also somewhat taboo when it came to the origin and background of Marchion Ro – that is, until Marvel’s new release Star Wars: Supreme Republic: Eye of the Storm Comic series!
Warning: Star Wars: The High Republic: Eye of the Storm SPOILERS Follow!
In author Charles Soule’s Eye of the Storm comic book, we go straight to answering the big, long-awaited questions about Marchion Ro. Those big details include the dramatic story of the people of Ro, Evereni of Planet Everon, who are revealed to be an environmentally conscious species, tragically inhabiting a planet whose environment (especially storms) has made life deceptive for everyone who inhabited there.
Over time (and with enough suffering) Ivryni society collapsed: the government and institutions lost the faith of the people, who lost faith in each other and bled into a civil war for centuries over the resources of the planet. This conflict has eroded Ivryni even more—so much so that their family structures have eroded and collapsed, as they were governed by a core philosophy: Caring for yourself is the greatest care there is. Everene spread across the galaxy when their planet failed and used and/or massacred anyone whose goals align (temporarily) with his.
Marchionne Rowe was born into the “nurture” embrace of this harsh view of life.
In more specific detail, we learn how his father and father, Marcion Roe, coined the ultimate “knife-edge” of Ivryni’s brutal survival beliefs. A weapon forged by his parents to destroy the Capricorn. They did their job very well: Marchionne watched his father kill their mother for driving and guiding Neil; When Marchionne Asghar’s father was assassinated by one of his own runners, Marchionne was there to brutally eliminate him.
Most interestingly, the comic book medium Eye of the Storm #1 provides a new opportunity to visually express how Marchion Ro really sees the world – as expressed in chilling panels that showcase his view even as a young boy, as everyone sees ( Even his parents) are nothing more than talking corpses he hasn’t killed yet.
With the way the creative team behind Star Wars: The High Republic is building, Marchionne Rowe may be more terrifying than any Sith Lord…
Star Wars: Supreme Republic: Eye of the Storm #1 is now on sale at Marvel Comics. Its release is associated with the latest edition of the novel High Republic, Star Wars: Falling Star, which is now also for sale.
