A single woman pretended to have tested positive for Covid so she could get off the “worst date” of her life.
The woman, from the United Kingdom, was having dinner in a restaurant with her companion when she decided to go to the bathroom to text her friend for help.

In a desperate attempt to leave, her friend sent her a fake Covid test result via text message so she could use it as an excuse to end the date early.
“This was probably the worst date of my life,” she said in the viral TikTok video.
“I was like ‘I need to leave, I can’t spend more time here.’ I went to the toilet, and I had my friend text me a fake positive test for Covid.”
The woman said she then edited the message to show that the text had been sent from an “NHS PCR TEST”.
She returned to her seat to show the man her text, which read: “Your coronavirus test result is positive. You are probably contagious.”
“I said ‘Look, you won’t believe it but the test came back positive.’ He said, ‘What are you going to do?’ And I said, ‘Okay, I’ll have to go home,’” I explained.
Instead of going home, she ends up going out to a nightclub with a friend before meeting another guy.
“I went to the club with my girlfriend and slept with someone anyway,” she said.
“I literally went to him, and slept with him. I didn’t quite sleep with him, I slept with him for about two minutes and it was boring, so I was like I needed to go.”
She finished her video with, “Now I’m going out for my birthday.”
Her video caption, “It was so bad, I faked a positive Covid test so I could go home” has since been viewed more than 270,000 times.
Some quickly pointed out that a woman’s text message should say “PCR” rather than “the result of the coronavirus lateral flow test,” a home test.
However, many saw the funny side of the woman’s dating dilemma, with one saying, “This girl is living her best life and I’m here for it.”
Another said, “A girl should do what a girl should do,” while one added, “That made my day.”
Several women saw the fun side of her dilemma, with one saying, “I should have done this. Where was this video three days ago?”
Another admitted, “Hey girl, I did exactly that thing on Thursday,” while another woman joked, “He’s now in isolation for seven days.”
