The wait is almost over.
After nearly four years, “Atlanta” is set to return for a fourth season in March. In a new teaser titled “Shillin,” Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Van (Zazie Beetz) are seen selling household products in a series of foreign ads. The comedy clip, which is tracked by OutKast’s “So Fresh, So Clean” cover, ends with Paper Boi declaring, “These products scare me.”
Season 3 takes place mostly abroad and finds the actors navigating their new surroundings amidst a European tour.
In September 2020, the pandemic forced the FX series to close before filming resumed at the top of 2021. The third and fourth seasons of “Atlanta” were filmed and written together.
“I agree with seasons I think, to me, like Kanye Records,” Glover said at the 2018 Emmys FYC show. “I feel like this is ours Graduation. This is perhaps the most accessible but also the most realistic – an honest version of it – and I feel the most fun, like the third album. We’ve all been in iMessage together and kind of talk about it, and I think people were really hungry to like defeating ourselves, which is cool.”
Season 3 of “Atlanta” begins with a two-episode opening on March 24. On Halloween, Glover released a one-minute trailer that offers a first glimpse into the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Glover briefly returned to Twitter on Wednesday (January 12) with a message to his haters.
Please @me this year if you’re talking shit on me.
