Delta extends life of expired travel vouchers from pandemic

Delta Air Lines says customers will get an extra year to use travel vouchers they received after canceling a flight during the pandemic.

ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines said Wednesday it will extend through 2023 the window for customers to rebook credits they received on purchase but then canceled flights during the pandemic.

Prior to the announcement, Delta Air Lines credits were set to expire at the end of 2022. The new date will also apply to all tickets purchased in 2022. Customers will be able to use the credits throughout 2024 if the flight is booked by December 31, 2023, the airline said. .

The move was not immediately matched by American Airlines or United Airlines, with the credits set to expire on March 31 and December 31, respectively.
